Grief Support Group available for MMSA students

Are you feeling alone because the loss or death of a love one? If you are, feel free to join MMSA’s Grief Support Group. What is grief one might ask? Grief is emotional, physical, and spiritual reactions in response to a death or loss, it's known as grief or grieving. One who is grieving might Experience:

· Strong emotions, such as sadness and anger
· Physical reactions, such as not sleeping or even waves of nausea
· Spiritual reactions to a death — for example, some people find themselves questioning their beliefs and feeling disappointed in their religion while others find that they feel more strongly than ever about their faith


Grief is a natural response to loss. One may associate grief with the death of a loved on. But any loss can cause grief, including:

· A relationship breakup
· Loss of health
· Losing a job
· A miscarriage
· Death of a pet
· Loss of a cherished dream
· A loved one’s serious illness
· Loss of a friendship

This group will be held every Monday starting the third week in April thru the first week of June, from 3:00pm-3:45 in the Conference Room. See Ms. Taylor (Counselor Intern) or Mrs. Green (social Worker) for further questions.
